Yesterday I got one of those awesome storage containers with tons of little compartments for parts from Mr. Fry and gathered all the VEX components I needed to make the simple Tumbler robot, one of the starter projects in the VEX curriculum. Construction is surprisingly simple - the instruction manual reads just like a LEGO instruction booklet - just pictures, no words! So far I've built the two sides of the robot with the motors and such, but I'm stuck because the newer motors I have don't match those used in the original instructions and they're not fitting just right with the wheels; I'll get it figured out with Mr. Fry on Monday. But it's been a lot of fun building the robot so far!
